The tradition and birth of the company

The birth of F.I.R.M.A. is closely linked to Tuscan tradition, and in particular that of Florence, where many pharmaceutical companies have grown up, some of which are no longer operating today.

The beginning of a story

F.I.R.M.A. began its story in 1933 by producing galenic preparations based on calcium gluconate, anti-bronchitis syrup and liniments.

The 1950s and 60s

Specialty proprietary products for calcium-magnesium therapy

In 1944, Dr. Renato Cerchiai, a pharmacist initially in Florence and then in Naples, a profound connoisseur of the pharmaceutical sector, took over the company and began producing original specialty proprietary products for calcium-magnesium therapy which would then be sold until the 1960s.

The years 1970/2000

Years of experience for a single purpose:

The offering to Italian doctors of innovative pharmaceutical products, with specific characteristics, together with a scientific information service, in-depth analysis and an ever-improving profile.

1984 marked an important moment for F.I.R.M.A. with the beginning of its collaboration with Menarini of Florence, alongside other Italian companies with considerable importance and a good reputation such as Guidotti, Lusofarmaco and Malesci.
